Honorary Officer Micco LaRossa

Members of PBA Local 72 first met four-year-old Micco while responding to his home for a medical call. Upon learning that Micco's birthday was fast approaching, members of the local and officers from the West Orange Police Department, decided to celebrate by making Micco a police officer for the day. After receiving a tour of the Verona Police Department, Micco was sworn in as an officer by Chief Kiernan.

PBA Holliday Food Drive

A tradition that began in 2011, the members of PBA Local 72 participated in the eighth annual holiday food collection. Members collected a variety of Thanks Giving themed foods which were assorted into individual grocery bags. The bags were then delivered to the Verona Health Department where they were distributed to families in need.

Holiday Toy Drive

The Holiday Toy Drive is an annual tradition which was taken over by Sister Kirby in December of 2016. Every year the PBA Local 72 purchases and collects donations for toys from the residents of Verona. The toys are collected and are later provided to children in the adoptive and foster system. These children are those who are moved from house to house and have few possessions of their own.
